Demographics

Bear Creek Middle School sits on a beautiful campus surrounded by natural woodlands. Bear Creek Middle School is located at 7415 Herndon Road in Fairburn, GA. The school originally opened in the fall of 1990 designed to serve approximately 800 students. Bear Creek had slightly over 600 students at its inception. Bear Creek serves students from the cities of Fairburn, Union City, and Palmetto. It has the largest and most rural attendance zone of all the middle schools in Fulton County.

It has five feeder elementary schools: Campbell, Liberty Point, Oakley, Palmetto, and Evoline C. West. Currently, Bear Creek has 987 students with the following ethnic distribution: Asian 1.2%, African-American 82.5%, Caucasian 3.8%, Hispanic 9.5%, Multiracial 3.0%.

The school community takes pride in its supportive parents and its ability to meet the needs of a diverse population, both suburban and rural.
