Zenda Bowie has been a member of the Fulton County Board of Education since 1990. She served as president from 1993 through 1996 and was Vice President from 2004 to 2005. Her current term expires December 31, 2006. A New York City native, Mrs. Bowie is chief operating officer for the American Lung Association responsible for program development, implementation, evaluation and day-to-day operation of the organization . An active volunteer, Mrs. Bowie is a past president of the Georgia School Boards Association, holds national office in her alumni association, and is on the board of several state and local organizations.

In 2004, Linda Bryant was re-elected to her fourth term on the Fulton County Board of Education. A member since 1993 and Board President from 2000 through 2002, Mrs. Bryant's new term expires December 31, 2008. A former teacher, Mrs. Bryant also has served as PTA president, local school advisory committee chair and as chair of the Superintendent's Advisory Committee. She is a current member of the Fulton Education Foundation Board of Directors and a past member of the Fulton County Employees' Pension Board. She has more than 20 years of experience with the Georgia probations/corrections department. Mrs. Bryant holds a bachelor's degree from Tuskegee University and a master's in counseling from Georgia State University.
